We will protect the property with tarps, plywood, and other needed materials. Furthermore, we pressure wash all driveway and walkway surfaces to leave them cleaner than ever before and we will use a magnetic roller to “sweep” the driveway and yard for nails. When the job is completed, we will provide you with a Hurricane Mitigation Inspection form which can be submitted to your insurance company detailing your upgraded roof. This should decrease your homeowner’s insurance by a significant amount each year.
What you should expect during the insurance process
- The homeowner will contact the insurance company letting them know about the problem. Your insurance company will provide you with a claim number.
- Insurance company will send a representative to inspect the damage. It is important to have a representative from Roof Doctors present at this appointment, to point out severity of damage and measures needed for repair.
- If there should be a difference of opinion between the insurance company and Roof Doctors, we will recommend that a structural engineer evaluate the damage and share their findings with you.
- Once terms are agreed upon by Roof Doctors and the insurance company for the scope of the work, then a price will be agreed upon as well.
- Roof Doctors will have you choose from a variety of manufacturers/styles/colors to choose and will help you to decide what best suits your needs.
- The length of the whole process varies from a shingle roof taking less than a week to a large tile roof, which takes two weeks. Roof Doctors works in the most time efficient manner possible, but sometimes there are unforeseen delays on the insurance side.
